High-tech ink technology leads the development of printing and packaging technology

Nano printing
In the printing industry, the performance ability of detail is one of the important criteria to judge the quality of printing, which provides the potential application of nanotechnology. At Druba 2012, the Landa Company already showed us the most impressive new digital printing technology of the time. According to Landa, the nano printing machine integrates the flexibility of digital printing and the high efficiency and economy of traditional offset printing, which can not only achieve high production efficiency, but also seamlessly connect with the existing working environment of printing enterprises. With the development of science, the field from biomedicine to information technology requires the shrinking volume and increasing complexity of the components used, which inspires scientists to work towards the direction of high-resolution and high-throughput nanometer printing technology. Scientists at the University of Science and Technology of Denmark have announced an important new nanoscale technology that can generate resolutions of up to 127,000, marking a new breakthrough in laser printing resolution, which can not only save data invisible to the naked eye, but also can be used to prevent fraud and product fraud.

Biodegradation ink
With the growing voice of green environmental protection, sustainable development has attracted much attention in the packaging industry, and its importance is becoming increasingly prominent. And the printing and ink markets of the packaging industry also pay more attention to environmental protection and sustainable development, which is also applied bio degradable paper platespersonalised paper napkins and printed compostable cups.As a result, a new generation of environmentally friendly inks and printing processes are emerging. Indian ink manufacturer EnNatura’s organic biodegradable ink ClimaPrint is one of the most representative products. Biodegradable plastics can be degraded by the action of microorganisms and integrated into the natural material circulation system. The gravure ink used in printing is widely used. It is basically composed of three components: colorant, color and additive. When biodegradable resin is added to the above components, it becomes the biodegradable gravure ink. Prints printed with non-biodegradable gravure ink will not change in shape or reduce in weight, even in an environment conducive to biodegradation. It can be predicted that in the near future, there will be an era of the use of continuous circulating materials in ink.
